Virgil Metz Obituary

Virgil Jackson Metz 44 of Grafton died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Mon General Hospital.

He was born September 18, 1975, in Morgantown, a son of Johnnie Metz of Tunnelton and Mary Ann Gamblin Metz of Munford, TN.

Virgil was a steel worker and a coal miner. He loved to work on his Dodge truck and hunting season.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his companion, Missy Stanton of Grafton; a son, Eli Jackson Metz; a daughter, Reagin Metz; a brother, Johnathan Metz of Fairmont; two sisters, Rebecca Shaw and husband, Sam of Camden TN, and Penny Metz of Munford, TN; nine nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; an aunt and uncle; a great aunt and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Geraldine Metz and Henry and Pauline Gamblin, two uncles and two cousins.

Private services will be conducted for the family.
