Paul (Huck) Edward Moats, Jr.

Paul (Huck) Edward Moats, Jr., 59, of Tunnelton, died Saturday, April 16, 2022 at home with loving family by his side.

He was born March 20, 1963, in Morgantown, a son of Sandra Wilson Owens and the late Paul Edward Moats, Sr.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Maryjane Weaver Moats; two sons, Bradley and Chasity Bolyard of Reedsville and Scott and Laurie Newlon of Howesville; a daughter, Kaela Pyles of Elkin, NC; 10 grandchildren, Lexi, Braden, Emily, Abigail, Cole and Hope Newlon; Leah and Trevor Bolyard; Trenton Keller and Autumn Sisler; three brothers, James (Pete) and Sue Moats of TX, Greg Moats and Curtis Moats, both of Tunnelton and a sister, Susie Howell of Kingwood. Kevin & Penny Fullmer of Rowlesburg and several other cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Moats and several aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 5 till 7 pm the funeral hour with Reverend Dave Biggins officiating.

The family would like to thank Camille Western and Chaplin Wendy Brown of Amedisys Hospice for all their caring and support during Paul’s illness.
