Millard Darwin Weaver, age 82, of Tunnelton, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown, with his loving family at his side.
He was born in Vindex, MD, February 8, 1940, a son of the late Norman B. and Lenora L. (Warnick) Weaver. His wife of 57 years, Janet Lee (Simpson) Weaver, preceded him in death, July 26, 2018.
Millard accepted Jesus Christ into his heart June 17, 2022, he was a member of the Howesville United Methodist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed wood working, making clocks, hunting and camping with his family. He was a US Army Veteran and was employed by the MCA Sign Company, the East Coast Ice Cream Company, and The Trongan Trucking Company, where he worked as a maintenance man and mechanic.
Surviving are: one son, Michael Weaver (Robin), Tunnelton, WV, four daughters, Tammy Weaver Fox (Rick), of Alum Bank, PA, Lori Shaver (Mark), of Tunnelton, Cindy Hodgkins (Jack), of Tunnelton, and Tina Knotts (Jeff) of Grafton; four sisters, Linda Maier, Tunnelton, Norma Garner, Massillion, OH, Debbie Cress, Masontown, and Janet Martin, of Reedsville; 21 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Hayes, and Nancy Weaver.
Friends may call at the Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood, WV, on Friday, August 5th from 5-8 pm, and Saturday, August 6th, from 1 -2 pm the funeral hour with Reverend Scott Cress officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery, Tunnelton, WV. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Military Honor Guard.
Dinner to follow the funeral at Kingwood Nazarene Church, 125 Wellsley Street, Kingwood, WV.
