Michael "Barney" Aaron Bolyard, 67, of Middleway, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Mike was born on December 16, 1958, in Kingwood, West Virginia, to Nina "Toni" Frances (Dean) Eddy and the late Donald Lee Bolyard.
In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Glenna Viola (Dixon) Bolyard; two sons, Jedidiah Bolyard and his partner, Mary Riley, and Jeremiah Bolyard; seven grandchildren, Evelyn, Scarlett, Ameyla, Blake, Timmy, Alexis, and Delaney; two bonus granddaughters, Alexa Dell and Miana Longerbeam; two brothers, Paul Bolyard and his wife, Laura, of Lake Worth, Florida, and Dean Bolyard and his wife, Kim, of Kingwood, West Virginia; as well as many treasured nieces and nephews.
Mike was a simple man who loved his God, his family, and his country. He found great joy in the outdoors, especially hunting, and cherished the time he spent in nature. His quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for those closest to him will be remembered by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at the Rowlesburg Park Todd Shay Memorial Pavilion. A Memorial Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Inurnment will follow at the Etam Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by the Preston County Honor Guard and the US Navy Honor Detail.
