Mary Ellen (Miner) Wiles
Obituary
Mary Ellen Wiles, 83 of Rowlesburg, died January 31, 2022 at home with loving family by her side.
She was born May 7, 1938, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late John Henry and Bertha Alice Davis Miner.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the town recorder for Rowlesburg for many years, a classroom teacher, made dresses for the Buckwheat Festival Court, a 4-H leader, a member of the Red Hat Ladies, the Rowlesburg Historical Society and a member and choir director for the Christ United Methodist Church. She is the last survivor of her immediate family.
She is survived by Deanna Felton and husband, Charles Felton III of Ambrose, GA; Michele Shay and husband, Tom of Rowlesburg and Cindy Felton and husband, Mark of Valdosta, Ga; six grandchildren, Mindy, Bart, F.D., Leah, Danielle and Mark and seven great grandchildren, Rachel, Lily, Walker, Harper, Jaxon, Lijah and Leeland.
Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Wiles in 2015 and several brothers and sisters.
Family will receive friends for a memorial service at the Christ United Methodist Church in Rowlesburg on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 1pm with Pastor Kevin Keplinger officiating.
