Linda "Duck" Katherine Moats

Linda “Duck” Katherine Moats, of Bretz passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Preston Memorial Hospital. She was born May 5, 1954 in Oakland, MD, daughter of the late Oliver Andrew and Dorothy Virginia Moats. Linda worked at the Preston County Sheltered Workshop. She enjoyed watching wrestling especially her favorite wrestler John Cena. She loved spending time with her family.  She is survived by her son, Clarence Andrew Moats, Bretz and his father, Clarence Gilbert Moats; one granddaughter, Whitney Jane Tichinel and husband, Dustin, Bretz; one great granddaughter, Navaida Tichinel; one stepdaughter, Rebecca Pifer and husband Dennis; step grandson, Steven Anderson; step granddaughter, Amber Watson; step great grandchildren; Adaylynn and Alondra Watson; two brothers, Wayne Moats and Amanda, FL, Steven Moats and Rose, Bretz; one sister, Betty Moats; caregiver, Samantha Burroughs; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Jane Moats; grandson, Anthony Andrew Moats; brother, Andrew “Buck” Moats and wife Patty; two sisters, Shirley Moats and husband Lee, Freda “Janie” Moats. Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, WV on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM with George Tichinel officiating.
