Jean Harlene (Cochran) Wolfe

Jean Harlene Wolfe, 87 of Rowlesburg, WV. went to her heavenly home on December 31, 2021, with her family by her side.  Born in Burgoo, WV, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Opha Cochran and the beloved wife of Dallas Wolfe Jr. for 67 years, having married on June 5, 1954.

Jean was a longtime member of Rowlesburg OES, Rowlesburg Revitalization Committee, and RRC Quilters.  She was also a charter member of the Rowlesburg Southern Baptist Church.

She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and working outside in the summertime.  She loved spending time with her family, especially visiting with her grandchildren and helping others in need.

Jean is survived by her husband, Dallas Jr., her daughter, Terri Lynn Bulford (Jerry) of Bluefield, WV; her sons, Dallas D. Wolfe III (Denise) of Kingwood, WV; Paul E. Wolfe (Andrea) of Rowlesburg, WV; her grandchildren, Martha Jean (Aaron) Webb of Bristow, VA; Dallas J. (Jana) Wolfe IV of Kingwood, WV; Sara Lynn (Larry Jr.) Harper of Princeton, WV; Evan Michael Wolfe of Silver Springs, MD; Paula Michelle Jacobs of Thornton, WV., step grandchildren Mitchell Ross Hartley of Pittsburgh, PA; Christopher Ray Hartley (Summer) of Westover, WV;  great-grandchildren, Jerry F. Bulford III; Joana Patrica Bulford; George Alexander Webb; Katie Lynn and Liam Douglas Harper; Isabella Sophia Michelle and Finley James Michael Jacobs; Dallas Richard Wolfe V; and great-great-grandchildren, Weston Kade and Adalynn Mae Bulford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, James Delbert Wolfe; brothers, Etsell, Fontain, Charles, and Gary Cochran, and her first-born grandson, Jerry F. Bulford Jr.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be at a later date.
