Howard Teets, 95, of Rowlesburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home with his daughter’s, Sandy, Sue and Dottie by his side and with whom he spent the last several weeks. He said he loved hearing the laughter from his crazy daughters.
He was born October 22, 1926, in Kingwood, a son of the late Alva and Erma Teets.
Howard was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union for over 50 years and a member of the Laurel Mountain Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting friends, gardening, taking walks, beekeeping and talking about God. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his five daughters and spouses, Carolyn and George Berkley, of Clinton, MN, Sandy Klapper of Terra Alta, Sue and Tim Herron of Buckhannon, Debbie and Brad Keener of Rowlesburg, Dottie and Charles Langford of Rowlesburg; his loving friend and ex-wife, Dortha Teets of Rowlesburg; two brothers, Benny Teets of Tunnelton, Jackie Teets of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Tina Walker, Brian Davis, Chad Klapper, Jason Armentrout, Laura Hubbard, Crystal Turner, Tony Flores, and Shawna Dixon; several great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jay Teets and Samuel Teets; one sister, Luella Barron.
Per his wishes, he donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
