Glenna Marie (Ringer) Liston

Glenna Marie Liston, 103 years old of Laurel, Maryland passed away with family members by her side on Friday, February 11, 2022.  She was born to Ezra and Emma Ringer on September 26, 1918 at the family farm near Cuzzart, Preston County, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred W. Liston, by a daughter Darlene Densmore, by three sisters Ruby, Lula and Evelyn June, and her mother and father.

She was of Methodist faith.  She was employed as a cafeteria worker at her local school for many years.  She loved growing vegetables in her garden to feed her family, enjoyed sewing, quilting blankets, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendy Glover (Dan), Karen Kovarik, Barbara Scott (Bill), and by two sons, Willard (Valerie), and Ronald (Karen). 

She loved and was so proud of each and every one of her family members.  In addition to her six children, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.

No matter how hard each of her family members tried to become her favorite, there was never a question that her favorite was her daughter Wendy and her husband Dan.  They unselfishly cared for her for many years.  There is a special place in Heaven reserved for them.

The family will receive friends before the service on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Browning Funeral Home, 201 E. Main Street, Kingwood, WV.  The funeral service will be from 12:00 to 12:30. Interment will follow at the Centenary Cemetery in Cuzzart, WV.
