Evelyn (Hawkins) LaRue

Evelyn LaRue, 83, of Crestline OH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at home with loving family by her side..

She was born November 13, 1936 in Newburg, WV, a daughter of the late Foster and Hilma Pratt Hawkins.

Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, moved to Ohio shortly after marrying and was known as a very hard worker. She drove bus #13, (her lucky number), for 10 years for Aurora city schools and at times held an evening job as well working as an inspector at a local factory. She greatly enjoyed flea markets, yard sales and family cookouts especially from her home in Florida. She was kind, a lover of all people and the twinkle in her eyes and smile melted hearts everywhere.

She is survived by her four children, Brenda LaRue Martin of Aurora Ohio; Janet LaRue Ernsberger of Aurora OH; Kathy Loftis of Tampa Florida; Donald LaRue Jr of Crestline Ohio, and one sister Patricia Sypolt of Parma Ohio. 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Donald LaRue Sr, a daughter, Debra, a grandson, DJ Loftis, and her brother, Lowell Hawkins.
