Dorcas "Karen" (Watts) Shrout

Karen Shrout, 79 of Kingwood, passed away on Monday March 14, 2022 at Garrett Memorial Hospital.

She was born on October 5, 1942, in Vendex, MD, a daughter of the late Carl Freeland Watts and Mable Kathleen Rohrbaugh Watts Evans.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and a friend to many. Karen enjoyed cooking, baking and playing bingo.

She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Shrout and wife, Susan of Corydon, IN and Michael Shrout of Houston, TX; a brother, Carl Wayne Watts and wife, Sue of Aurora; two sisters, Charlotte Thomas and husband, Jack and Cindy Warsaw, all of Oakland, MD.

She was also preceded in death by her husband James G. Shrout in 2008; a brother, William “Bill” Kitzmiller and her step-father, Harry Evans.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 10 am till 11am the funeral hour with Jim Kenner officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
