Donna Jean (Rodeheaver) Metheny

Donna Jean (Rodeheaver) Metheny, 71, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Kingwood, WV, on November 2, 1954, daughter of the late Alton “Doc” Darrell and Mildred Alfreda (Christopher) Rodeheaver.

Donna was a 1973 graduate of Kingwood High School. She had retired as the Judge’s Secretary from the Preston County Circuit Court. Donna enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens and collecting sea glass. She attended the Albright Riverside Church and the Albright Baptist Church faithfully. Donna was a bright light, full of warmth and joy. She will leave behind a legacy of love, laughter and kindness to those who knew her.

Donna is survived by her beloved daughter, Cara Metheny, of Albright; grand dog, Qais; sister in laws, Hope Rodeheaver, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Linda Weaver, of Tunnelton; special nieces and nephews, Jay Martin, Amy Martin White and Jerry, Todd Rodeheaver and Karen, Paige Clay and Keith, Rich Weaver and Fay, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Charles “Clinton” Metheny, on June 18, 2026. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles Darrell Metheny, as well as an infant son; her brother, Alton “Bub” Rodeheaver; and nephew, Heath Rodeheaver.

Family and friends will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm and on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 10am until the 11am funeral hour, with Reverend Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Valley Cemetery.
