Donald Lewis LaRue, Sr.

Donald Lewis LaRue, Sr., 84 of Crestline, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born November 15, 1934 in Preston County, son of the late Sanky Paul and Florence Victoria Britton LaRue.   He was a retired UAW millwright out of General Motors Ontario, OH, by way of Cleveland, OH.  He was a member of the order of Freemasons and in the past had enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado, golf wherever he could find it and attending auctions.  It is common knowledge that he was an avid collector of anything with wheels.

Donald leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Evelyn (Hawkins) LaRue and four children. Brenda LaRue-Martin of Aurora, OH, Kathy LaRue-Loftis of Tampa, FL, Janet LaRue-Ernsberger (Bill) of Aurora, OH, and Donald LaRue Jr. of Crestline, OH as well as one sister, Bonnie LaRue of Fountain Valley, CA, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd “Bud”, Robert and Richard LaRue, one grandson, D.J. and daughter Debra.

The family will receive friends at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 12 Noon until time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.browningfuneralhomewv.com
