David Leslie Moats, Sr.

David Leslie Moats, Sr., 67, of Reedsville died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at home with family by his side.

He was born July 6, 1954 in Erwin, a son of the late Walter and Rita Murphy Moats. He was raised by his grandmother Wilda Murphy and last survivor of his family.

He was a loving friend, father and grandfather, a maintenance man for Wal Mart, loved to hunt, work on cars, enjoyed socializing and family said he was a “goofball”.

He is survived by his son, David L Moats, Jr. of Gladesville; his daughter, Leslie Wolfe of Kingwood; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his lifelong friend, Barbara McCrobie.

He was also proceeded in death by two brothers, Mark and Ricky and two sisters, Kathy and Debbie.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:30am till 12:30pm the funeral hour with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating.  Browning Funeral Home is assisting family with cremation services.
