Paul Joseph Barlow, Sr., 94, of Kingwood died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Pine Ridge with family by his side.
He was born January 20, 1924, in Kingwood, the son of the late Joseph Garrett and Teresa Fletcher Barlow.
He was a loving father, grandfather and father in-law. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was a coal miner and owner of P&C Coal Company, a timber cutter, a dairy farmer and later a beef farmer all of his life, loved the outdoors, camping, picnics and get togethers with his family.
He is survived by his son, Paul Barlow, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Kingwood; his daughters, Debbie Sims and husband, Randall of Proctor and Brenda Teets and husband, Eddie of Kingwood; seven grandchildren, Joseph Teets and wife, Cortney, Erica Jackson and husband, Brian, Tim Sims and wife, Danielle, Joshua Sims, Danielle Barlow, Patty Jo Barlow and Paul Barlow III; four great grandchildren, Brianna and Madelyn Jackson, Allyson and Bryson Teets.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 1/2 years, Betty Elene Gower Barlow; his daughter, Joyce Gibson, his son in-law, Dean Gibson and his grandson, J R Gibson; a brother, Clarence Barlow and two sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Barlow.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood, Sunday, March 18, from 6-8 pm and on Monday, March 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A vigil service will be held Monday, March 19 at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Father Andrew Switzer as celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
