Mabel Virginia (Danser) Maier

Mabel Virginia Maier, 92, of Monaca, PA entered into eternal rest Thursday August 8, 2019 at Vitas Healthcare, Rochester, PA,

She was born October 27, 1926, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Elmer Roy and Rose Levada Shannon Danser

She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Upon graduation from Tunnelton High School, Class of 1945, she began her journey traveling cross country.  Alone on a train Mabel traveled to California to meet up with the love of her life, Wallace, who was serving his country in California so that they could be married. She enjoyed baking, crafts and scrapbooking.

She is survived by Lanny Maier, Judie Barr,  Mark and Amy, Steven and Melissa , Brandon and Tonya, Christopher and Carolyn, Mike, Jeffrey, Jessica and John, Stephanie and Sean, Mark and Kristi, Steven, Luke, Shane, Madison, Rocco, Owen, Zach, Emma, Chance, Layla, Jase, Sara, and Nathan.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, of 51 years, Wallace Maier, who died in May of 1996; Gregory Maier, Robert Barr, Victor, Elmer Lee, Kenneth, Stanley, Lester, Artis, Wilbert, Howard, James, Elmer Roy, Mildred, Ethel and Mary.

Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Monday, August 12 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. On Tuesday, August 13, 2019 Mrs. Maier will be moved to lie in repose at the Mt. View United Methodist Church from 12 noon till 1 pm the funeral hour with Reverend Tom Strahin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery.
