Leon Paul Conner 92 of Kingwood died Friday, July 12, 2019 at home with family by his side.
He was born May 29, 1927, in Albright, a son of the late Harvey G. and Edna Walls Conner.
Mr. Conner was an electrician for Chemetals in Kingwood and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Masontown. He had also serviced in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Beverly Jean Conner; three sons, Allen Conner of Valley Point and companion, Terry Fike of Hazelton, Dana Paul Conner and wife, Sharon of Kingwood Pike and David E. Conner and wife, Kim of Valley Point; a grandson, Thomas Conner and a brother, Robert Lee Conner of Valley Point.
Mr. Conner was preceded in death by two brothers and their wives, Parley Foster and Vergie Conner and Charles Emerson and Betty Conner; a sister and her husband, Mildred Alice and Marshall (Bus) Albright; a sister-in- law, Flossie Conner and his grandson, Sean Dietrick Conner.
Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Monday, July 15 from 2-8 pm. On Tuesday, Mr. Conner will be moved to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Masontown to lie in repose from 10 am to 12 noon the funeral hour. Following the luncheon interment will be at Mt. Morriah Cemetery in Valley Point where military graveside rites will be accorded by the Preston County Honor Guard and the WVANG Military Funeral Honors detail.
