Judith "Judy" Ann Walker

Judith “Judy” Ann Walker, 60, of Kingwood passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Judy was born in Morgantown, WV on May 14, 1959 a daughter of the late Jim Walker and Mary Popp Walker.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Walker of Kingwood; brother Joe Walker and wife Lee Anne of Kingwood; one daughter, Susie Greenwood and husband Paul of Fairmont; one grandchild, Ava Greenwood; longtime companion Jim Friend of Friendsville, MD; and close friends Amy Collins and Mary Holmes.

Other survivors include her Uncle, Adolph Popp of Florida, Aunt Chris Popp of North Carolina, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was a 1977 graduate of Kingwood High School and attended Fairmont State College.  She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #127 of Rowlesburg, WV, and a member and adult leader of Girl Scout Troup #4550 of Kingwood, WV.

Judy was happiest when she was knitting and sewing and frequently spent time teaching her granddaughter, Ava, to sew.  She often could be found working on one of a kind project for others.  When Judy wasn’t busy creating, she was spending time with her friends and family.  She also enjoyed cuddling with her cat, Minnie.

Family and friends may join in celebrating Judy’s life at Browning Funeral Home, 201 E Main St, Kingwood, WV 26537 on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, her memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 107 W High St, Kingwood, WV 26537, on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 am with Michael Argabrite officiating.
