Herman Blaine Pifer, 76 of Tunnelton, passed away Friday April 5, 2019 at Preston Memorial Hospital with loving family by his side.
He was born September 30, 1942, in Parsons, a son of the late Henry and Minnie Guthrie Pifer.
He was a loving companion, father, brother and friend. He was a laborer for several different companies. He loved gardening, planting flowers and ramps and working in the yard. He attended the First Apostolic Church in Tunnelton.
He is survived by his loving companion of 30 years, Mary Marie Miller; two step sons, Allen Miller and wife, Christina of Bruceton Mills and Earl Miller of Kingwood, raised two boys, Glenn and Brian Swacker of Parsons; his daughter, Sandra Lee in Georgia; a brother, Jack Pifer of Montrose; two sisters, Mary Ann Sharp of Hambleton and Rose Miller of Parsons and eight grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his six brothers, six sisters and his step son, John Miller.
Family will receive friends at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 12 noon till 2 pm the memorial service hour with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating.
Browning Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
