Harold Sumner, 89, of Morgantown, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Mapleshire Nursing Home with family by his side.
He was born, February 22, 1928 in Viper, KY. a son of the late Jack and Amanda Gent Sumner.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. he was a member of the Happy Pappy organization in Kentucky, as a firefighter,
he enjoyed ginsenging and fishing and took great care and pride in his children and grandchildren. He attended the First Christian Apostolic Church in Tunnelton.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Spiker of Morgantown , son in-lawJohn Stonebreaker of Kingwood; a brother, James Sumner and wife, Lula of Red Key, IN.; nine grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Sumner daughter Betty Stonebreaker passed away Saturday April 21, 2018 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by her side.
He was also preceded in death by, his brothers, Albert Bailey and Joe Sumner and a sister, Gladys and Maxine MacPherson.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday April 25, 2018 at the First Christian Apostolic Church in Tunnelton, Reverend Ray Frankhouser will be officiating.
