Harold Buster Hillery, 84 of Kingwood passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with family by his side.
He was born May 21, 1934, in Morgantown, a son of the Dailey B. and Florence M. Dunn Hillery.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. Harold served in the US Army and was an electrician /longwall mechanic for the Island Creek and Consol mines. He enjoyed collecting coins, railroad watches, watching his favorite western show Walker Texas Ranger, making jewelry, farming and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Harold A. Hillery of Flemington and Eric B. Hillery and Maranda of Kingwood; Regina (Cheryl) Harvey and Fuzz of Oakland, MD, Benita Hillery and Companion Gene Smith of Kingwood and Sandra L. Snyder and companion, Greg Rakosi of Maidsville, a daughter in-law, Stephanie Hillery of Tunnelton; four sisters, Alda Irene Kelley Smith, Ellen M. Kelly and Donna Jean Hillery-Shaffer all of Kingwood and Louise Hall of Albright; sisters in-laws, Jean Jones and Lula Corbitt and Allen all of Kingwood and Alice Clark and Jackie of Valley Point; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilda Eagle Hillery in 2007, his two sons, Kevin and Michael; two sisters, Leona Thomas Powell and Gloria Sanders Shaffer; four brothers, William, Franklin, Lawrence and Bobby.
Friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Sunday, July 15 from 2-8 pm and on Monday, July 16, 2018 for funeral service at 1 pm with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.
