Gloria Eloise Miller, 90, of Tunnelton, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Pine Ridge surrounded by family.
Gloria was a lifelong member of the Tunnelton community; she was born February 14, 1929, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late George R. and Fay Maier LaRue.
She was a loving mother, grandmother. Gloria graduated from Tunnelton High School class of 1947 and baptized into the Tunnelton United Methodist Church in 1953 by Rev. Wadsworth. She served in many capacities over the years; she was on official board Communion Stewart and secretary/treasurer of the Trustees for over 30 years. She also served on the Town Council as Council member and recorder.
Gloria is survived by her two children, a daughter, Pamela Miller of Kingwood, a son, William Miller, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Shinnston; granddaughter, Rebecca Zerjav and husband, Michael; her great grandchildren, Piper Willow of Coraopolis, PA, a grandson, Corey Readd and wife, Kristen, and great grandchildren, Logan Jacob and Aubrey Faith of Greensburg, PA; a granddaughter, Stephanie McCandless and husband, Clint, and great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Ella Monroe of Morgantown.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William L. Miller, Sr.; twin brothers, Wade and Ward LaRue and her sister, Sue (LaRue) Stanton.
The family will receive friends at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9am -11 am the funeral hour with Reverend Michael Argabrite officiating. Interment will follow at the Camp Ground Cemetery.
It was Gloria’s wishes that memorial donations be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
