Eileen Mary Divane, 59, of Tunnelton died Friday, February 22, 2019 at her home with her companion by her side.
She was born March 21, 1960, in Dingle County, Kerry, Ireland, a daughter of Teresa Lamb Divane of Whethersfield, CT and the late Patrick Divane.
Eileen came to America at the age of five. Her education began at St. Mary’s School in East Hartford, CT, she graduated from South Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT, where she was a cheerleader for three years and attended St. Joseph College in West Hartford for two years.. She was an Irish step and tap dancer, was a supervisor for Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut and also worked at the Nutshell and Pieper Brook. She was an active member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Kingwood.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her companion, Phillip Greaser, her brother, James Divane and her sister, Moria Divane, both of Whethersfield.
Friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, February 26 where a wake service will be held at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in the St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Father Andrew Switzer as celebrant.
Cremation will follow the services as Eileen had requested.
