David Lloyd Howell

David Lloyd Howell, 81, of Kingwood died Saturday, November 2, 2019 at his home with family by his side.

He was born July 18, 1938, in Kingwood, a son of the late Dana and Bessie Wable  Howell.

David was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.  He was a member of the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church and loved hunting, fishing, storytelling and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  David was a foreman for Garbert Coal Company in their strip mining operation.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Uphold Howell; his son, Sam Howell and wife, Cassie of Tunnelton; his daughter, Marcia Howell of Kingwood; his brother, Roger Howell of Uniontown, PA; his sister, Phyllis Wilhelm of Albright and his grandchildren, Jacob and Emily.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Junior Howell and four sisters, Mary Lou Patterson, Betty Scott, Mary Hershman and Barbara Cuppett.

A memorial service will be at the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church on Sunday,  November 10, 2019 at 2 pm with Pastor Cindi Lee officating.
